As much of our community knows by now, our dear friend Robert was recently diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing treatment. If you know Robert, you also know about his love for playing softball. It runs in his blood. If you have ever been to a Sober Softball Tournament in Austin, chances are, Robert had a part to play in it happening.

This tournament, hosted by Eddie Shackelford and sponsored by RecoveryATX, will help with financial expenses associated with his treatment. Whether you sign up to play, come out to cheer other players on, sponsor the tournament or donate, or simply share the donation link to his GoFundMe, your contribution goes a long way to support the guy that supports everyone else first and relieve some of his stress and worries during this scary time!

The proceeds from this tournament will go towards Robert's hospital and treatment expenses, living expenses while he is not working due to treatment, and helping cover his family's ability to visit him. Nothing about what Robert is going through is easy, comfortable, or cheap. Every bit of help goes a long way so he can keep a positive attitude and low stress to be in the best health to receive the treatment he is undergoing.
