Piano and Happiness

Come on out and enjoy a mix of jazz-inflected, humorous tunes with Marilyn Rucker and friends. Guests will include Karyn Lane on sax and vocals and a humorous reading from Joe Kulhavy. There may be another sax player/vocalist showing up, and Don Denzin may swing by with his clarinet. Sometimes, there are guitarists, violinists and banjoists. Stay tuned. No matter what, it'll be fun! Early gig with no cover! Excellent food and company.

Oh, and if you want to make a full afternoon of it, Marilyn will play with the Therapy Sisters during their set from 2-4 on a Fats Waller tune with some hilarious lyrics. The Therapy Sisters will be playing various songs of love and loathing as a cathartic release for all. So you could do that, then visit the bookstore next to the deli, and come back for Marilyn and friends, if you liked. But no pressure. It's your afternoon. But it's going to be fun all around!
