Professor Saignac offers a unique style of coaching that will enhance anyone’s striking and self-defense through distance management, rhythm, timing, and environmental or ring awareness. 

If you are lucky, you have been able to train with him at Erik Paulson’s CSW Camps, Ron Balicki’s MARS Camps, and a large number of seminars and workshops. Now is your chance to see why so many seek to train with Professor Saignac. He has a keen ability to relate the art of Savate and its attribute-enhancement drills to any student, regardless of the practitioner's level or age. 

What is Savate? Savate is a French martial art that combines elements of boxing and kickboxing and is known for its precision, efficiency, and elegant footwork. Also called French Kickboxing, it originated in the 19th century, developed by sailors and street fighters, and later evolved into a refined combat sport and self-defense system.

Who is Professor Nicolas Saignac? He is a world-renowned expert in Savate (French Kickboxing) and a highly respected martial arts instructor. Originally from France, he has played a significant role in spreading Savate worldwide, particularly in the United States.

Why is Professor Saignac Respected? He trained in the traditional French discipline, and he has deep expertise in Savate’s striking, movement, and strategy. He’s known for his ability to break down complex techniques into practical, easy-to-understand lessons for students of all levels. Professor Saignac has trained fighters, martial artists, and law enforcement personnel, helping them refine their striking and self-defense skills. 

He’s known for his keen eye for detail, exceptional coaching methods, and ability to enhance any practitioner’s striking game, whether in the ring or for real-world self-defense. Martial artists who want to improve their skills seek his lessons.

Join us for this two-day, ten-hour camp as we explore multi-layered themes that will excite and elevate your training to a whole new level. Two-day participants will receive a free camp T-shirt and certificate!

The Savate Camp will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 12th and 13th, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Martial Way Legacy in Austin, Texas. While in-person attendance is recommended, we’ll also offer virtual access. All attendees will receive a certificate, and virtual students are welcome to purchase a T-shirt for the cost of shipping. Testing will commence on Saturday at 4 p.m. for all attendees who wish to elevate their Savate Rank. Early-bird pre-registration is officially open, and there are three easy payment plans. 

Option A: Two Days of Training, Camp Shirt, and Certificate for only $249 ($299 after August 1st)

Option B: One Day of Training for only $149 ($199 after August 1st)
