Myth & Melody: February Masterworks Series Concert

Join acclaimed cellist Annie Jacobs-Perkins for an evening filled with passion, drama, and vivid musical storytelling. The night begins with Mendelssohn’s magical "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" overture, a playful and enchanting start.

Next, Jacobs-Perkins takes center stage for Bloch’s powerful "Schelomo," a deeply emotional, Hebraic rhapsody that showcases the cello’s voice like few works can.

The program continues with the spirited Polka and Fugue from Weinberger’s "Schwanda, the Bagpiper" and concludes with the iconic rhythms and soaring melodies of Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from "West Side Story," a vibrant, unforgettable finale to a dynamic evening.
