Music Makers of Austin: Songwriting Workshop & Music Competition

Welcome to the Music Makers of Austin: Songwriting Workshop & Music Competition! Join us for a day filled with creativity and songwriting at Casa de Luz Village. Whether you're a seasoned songwriter or just starting out, this event is perfect for anyone looking to hone their craft and showcase their musical skills. Our Music Makers workshop will focus on the fundamentals of songwriting, as well as more advanced tips and tricks for writing that perfect song.

Learn and hone the skills of writing lyrics, crafting melodies and developing song structures to bring that song in your heart to life. Afterwards, a songwriters competition will be held where attendees will get a chance to showcase an original song they wrote during the workshop ! The Top 3 Contestants will win a music related prize, with the 1st place winner receiving a secret gift valued at over $100. Winners will be chosen by vote.

Requirements for eligibility to win a prize in the songwriters competition:

• Purchase of a Gold Ticket (or Silver Ticket* with additional $20 Donation)
• Song created must be an original piece and at least 1 min long
• Song must be created at the workshop
• Any workshop attendee may participate (but it is not required)

Ticket Types:

Bronze: Songwriters Workshop Ticket, and a Songwriters Notebook - $20

Silver: Workshop Ticket, Eligibility for Contest*, Songwriters Book & a Special Gift -$40

Gold: Bronze + Silver Gifts and Guaranteed Spot in Competition - $60

*Free attendance ticket: A few free attendance tickets are available (don't come with any gifts or eligibility to win prizes).
