Indo-Chinese Cooking with Amirah Islam

For ages 18 & up

Amirah will introduce you to Bangladeshi dishes with Chinese influences and some Indo-Chinese favorites in this class that focuses on South Asian cuisines. As you enjoy chicken lollipops; stir-fired beef in chilies; deep-fried cauliflower in tomato sauce; fried rice; and crispy honey noodles, you'll pick up tips and learn a little about the Southern Silk Road that facilitated trade and cultural exchange in this region.

Missing the flavors f Bangladesh where she grew up, and with the help of family and friends,  Amirah taught herself to recreate some of her favorite dishes. She won Top Chef Amateurs 2021 and is in the process of writing her first cookbook.

For ages 18 & up. 21 or older? You'll enjoy a glass of wine paired with your meal.

• Drums of Heaven (Chicken Lollipops)

• Chili Beef (Saucy, Stir-fried Beef in Chilies)

• Gobi Manchurian (Deep-fried Cauliflower in a Tangy Tomato Sauce)

• Egg Fried Rice

• Darsaan (Crispy Honey Noodles with Ice Cream)

Safety & Precautions

• At check-in, you will be asked to sign a waiver before entering the Cooking School.

• For that reason, we ask that all attendees arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the confirmed start time of the class.
