This intergenerational event invites the community to engage in meaningful dialogue, creative expression, and healing through art.Create & Heal: The Art of Bliss is a collaborative initiative between the Carver’s Education and Exhibition Departments, designed to highlight the current exhibition, “Who Draws the Maps?” featuring the work of the late artist Steven Bernard Jones. Guests will gain deeper insight into Steven’s artistic journey and his exploration of emotion, identity, and inner peace through art. The program will feature a guided conversation led by Denna Miesch, art therapist, personal friend of the artist, and owner of Lydia Street Art Gallery, who will share reflections on Steven’s inspirations and the pursuit of bliss through creative practice.Following the discussion, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a hands-on art activity, creating their own unique “map drawings” inspired by the exhibition. This is a free, intergenerational event, open to all members of the community.
