Body Mechanics Rave Movie Night!

Our second Body Mechanics movie night!! A double feature.

Featuring:

(2002) Small Town Ecstasy is an HBO documentary that is simultaneously shocking, comical, bizarre, and surreal. Scott is a dad that had lived a straight-laced life, but at 40 stumbles into the drugged up millenium-era rave scene and loses himself a bit in the midst of it all. A surprisingly intimate view into a family’s personal world and all the ups and downs that come with drug usage.

(2002) A Midsummer Night’s Rave is a lighthearted throwback to the American y2k rave era. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, this film chronicles one mischievous and magical night at a rave in Southern California. In this adaptation, the fairy Puck sells ecstasy and love potions, and the romantic dramas persist alongside the dancefloor. Silly, cheesy, fun.

Doors at 7, Small Town Ecstasy starts around 7:30.

After that there will be an intermission, and A Midsummer Night's Rave will start around 9:30.
