- **Event Description**: Come for a lesson and live music at the Blues side room at the Fed. This will be the last side room before we move to a new location at Cherrywood Center, so we’re celebrating with a live band: Muddy Fishfoot and the Spatula Farmers.

Lesson is 8-9pm on the Landing (top of the stairs)
Live music from 9-11pm, with DJs providing music until 11:30pm.

The music of Muddy Fishfoot And The Spatula Farmers is informed by an exploration of multiple blues forms and feels found in the blues-infused jazz of the 1930s. Our intent is to create an artful, living and breathing soundscape of emotional freedom that inspires exploration of movement through physical and sonic space.

The band draws influence from each of the members’ unique life experiences as well as the music of many other blues musicians, like Sidney Bechet, Mose Allison, Duke Ellington, Stanley Smith, Jimmie Noone, Leadbelly, and the like. 

Muddy Fishfoot And The Spatula Farmers originated in 2012, curated by and for Austin Blues Party and ALX.
