Art Night at Lloyd: Tie Dye Workshop

Have you ever wondered what kind of magical things happen in all of the ice runoff when someone makes a rad ice dye? It makes muck! And muck can be magical. You can also just keep your entire garment in the muck and take it wherever you need to go, so it's LNT-friendly. We'll be applying powder dye to two select styles of shirt, so a mask or respirator is encouraged but not required. Please bring a small, non-leaking bucket and cotton garment. A good way to test the size of your bucket is to take the garment you plan on dying, scrunching it up so that one entire side of the piece touches the bottom, and making sure it's not too bunched up, but also not able to fully come apart. For this style, I usually use small or medium plastic totes or Halloween candy buckets.

Silly little muck dyes are a great entrypoint to the ice dye hobby!
