A Retrospective of Linda Graham’s Work

DAVA presents The Long View: Making Art a Part of Life, a retrospective honoring Linda Graham, founder and first Executive Director of DAVA (1993–2001). Graham’s lifelong passion for ceramics began in the 1960’s. At 87, she remains an active artist and advocate for the creative community.

Opening Reception: Friday, January 16, 4 – 7 PM
Location: DAVA, 1405 Florence Street, Aurora CO 80220 in the Aurora Cultural Arts District.

Graham’s artistic journey includes ceramics, photography, digital media, and large-scale installations. Her signature series Horns and Lyrical Lines reflect her mastery of ceramics, while playful teapots and clay specimens showcase her curiosity and experimentation. Influenced by music, gardening, and the natural sciences, her work combines organic and geometric elements.
After leading DAVA for nearly a decade, Graham returned to her studio practice, creating works at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, The Art Students League of Denver, Anderson Ranch, and her home studio. She also spent years (2011-2017) playing with plexiglass and light installations shown at Ice Cube Gallery and expanded her practice into digital art during the pandemic. Her current ceramic sculptures in Denver Under Water are inspired by her ongoing interest in geology and zoology.

The exhibition is free and open to the public Monday to Friday 10 am to 5 pm and by appointment. In addition, the exhibition will be open for First Friday on February 6th from 6 to 9 pm.
