- **Event Description**: The goal of the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers class (BLS) is to ensure that healthcare providers have the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. The course emphasizes active, hands-on learning and uses scenario activities to help participants learn how to provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve an obstructed airway for adult, child, and infant patients.

This class is a Blended Learning Class which gives students the ability to do most of the training online then attend an in-person session to test their skills.

Participants who successfully complete the online and in-person portions will receive  an American Red Cross Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers r.21.  Certificates are valid for two years and will be issued in about one business day after the in-person class. Certificates are delivered via e-mail and can be found on the Red Cross Website.
