Aurora Winter Blues Festival: Little Magic Sam

Blues is in his blood—and when Little Magic Sam plugs in, you feel it. Hailing from St. Thomas, Ontario, Sam Taylor brings a fiery blend of Chicago-style blues, soulful vocals, and electrifying guitar work that has earned him national acclaim. A born performer, Sam has been on stage since the age of seven and now leads a powerhouse band that’s turning heads across Canada. In 2024, the group took home the Maple Blues Award for New Artist or Group of the Year, solidifying their rising-star status.
With a sound rooted in tradition but delivered with youthful grit and passion, Little Magic Sam has shared stages with legends and recorded at Memphis’ iconic Sun Studio. His latest EP Step Back—tracked live to mono tape using vintage gear—proves he’s not just honoring the blues; he’s bringing it to life for a new generation.
