Join us to paint an outdoor barn quilt that will last-open to the public! You do not need to be an artist and you do not need a barn to hang it on-they go everywhere! Many colors and over 48 designs to choose from the day of class.
This workshop is hosted by the Nimble Thimble Quilt Guild from Aurora, Nebraska. If you are curious about their quilt guild please show up and they can share more information about who they are and what they do. This offer is open to all levels of quilters.
Learn tips and techniques to make a barn quilt that is long lasting. Wood is not used-we use ACM and only quality outdoor house paint. Rose Mapel from Artistic Innovations NE based out of Eustis will provide the instruction. She is the author of The Complete Barn Quilt Creation & Painting Guide which will be available at the workshop. It is available on Amazon Kindle as well.
***You will need to bring yellow Delicate Frogtape (1.41 width is the most versatile and it can be purchased at most Menards, hardware stores and big box stores), a hair dryer and an extension cord. A power strip is handy too.***
If you have a specific design you would like to do and would like us to help make that happen please text the image to Rose at 308-529-8992 for more details. Custom draw designs need to be received at least 2 weeks before the workshop as they take time to do.
If you would like to get additional barn quilt blanks please let us know the size(s) you are interested in at least 2 weeks prior to the workshop so they can be prepared. We can cut custom sizes as well. Typical sizes are 1, 2, 3 and 4 foot sizes. Larger sizes are available and are two pieces that are put together.
