Like all of our classes the Re-Start class has a self directed learning style and participants are able to learn at their own pace at whatever level they and their horses are at. People can attend one or all the classes as their budget and schedule allows.

When training problems arise it's frequently because areas of foundational training were missed or improperly taught. This can apply to both horse and rider. In this class we look at both as we take training back to the very beginning to remove blockages and misalignment utilizing a combination of bodywork techniques then pairing them with training exercises that students are able to practice at home. 

This class is good for both the older horse and the young horse just starting out. Participants can bring their own horses or practice on one of ours.

The horse is only half of the equation when a training problem arises or rehabilitation is needed. In this class we also put the rider on a horse and remove any body tension or unhelpful habits through massage and proper movement that might be contributing to their horse's undesirable behavior.

The first part of the class is working with the horses on the ground and practicing basic massage techniques. Depending on what level the participant's horse is at we then move to under saddle work for the rider. If either the participant or their horse aren't ready for the under saddle part with each other we will then pair up participants with a horse that is. We have different participants at different levels of advancement, so sometimes more advanced riders will ride other students horses. Additionally we have several horses who have been with us for a while and are very good at teaching this class for students needing to regain confidence or conditioning.

We pair people up, so it's one horse per two people. We limit the number of participants, no more than 10 per class, so that everyone gets plenty of time to work on what they and their horse needs. 

Together we assess where each participant and their horses are at during the class and make a decisions on what's going to be the most productive thing to help people reach the goals that they have for themselves and their horses. This helps everyone learn from each other and creates a support atmosphere.
