Torch Fired Enamel Earrings Workshop, 3/24, 5-8pm

Create enamel earrings with Alaska jewelry artist Ashley Lohr of TheRosieFinn.

*Workshop for ages 16+; all participants will use a handheld butane torch.

In this workshop, participants will learn how to create one-of-a-kind enamel pieces using Thompson powder enamel sifted onto pre-cut copper blanks and walk away with their self-created earrings. Workshops discussions will include: enamel consistency, application, prepping, cleaning, stenciling, ombre and sgraffito techniques. This ancient craft of enameling allows for the unique addition of glass color to metal designs by adding heat 1500*F +.

Ashley has over 17 years of experience teaching jewelry and will demonstrate each step along with help participants one-on-one. All materials are included.
