Butterfield Garage Art Gallery presents Victor Caruncho as the Featured Artist for month of March.
About the Artist:
New York born, self-taught, artist, Victor Caruncho has an overwhelming passion for the arts. Painting and Drawing was evident from an early age and growing up in a family of artists, he was surrounded by the works of the Old Masters such as Rembrandt, Vermeer, Van Gogh, Dali, Magritte and along with his favorite - Caravaggio - whom all have shaped his career.
After high school, Victor wanted to pursue his dreams of Art. He was accepted to the prestigious School of Visual Arts (SVA) in Manhattan, NYC but due to a series of unfortunate circumstances, he was not able to attend. After years working odd jobs the opportunity came to enroll in Plaza School of Architectural Drafting and Design located in NJ, where he honed his skills in Architectural hand drafting. While producing work for many established Architectural and Engineering firms, Victor never abandoned his true passion of artistic expression. “Drawing and painting will never cease from my veins, it’s in my blood!”.
With the advent of technology, Victor left the world of Architecture and Engineering to start his own successful business as a Decorative Faux Painter and Artisan. His business thrived completing many projects, accomplishing many faux finishes for homes and businesses and especially an abundance of murals and decorative designs. Fine art canvas work was also in full effect!
Victor’s unique look upon the world eminently shows in almost all aspects of his works from diverse Architectural designs to fabulous wall finishes and to his surprisingly different and separate views at everyday objects which are highly visible in all of his fine art pieces.
Victor’s other interests include Health, Fitness and Bodybuilding and a love for the human form, music, playing guitar, and spending time with his lovely family.
Victor's exhibit opens on First Friday Art Walk on Friday March 6th from 5pm - 9pm at the Butterfield Garage Art Gallery. He will give a brief artist talk at 6pm.
