TIDE WAITS FOR NO MAN: Episode Grace

Three powerhouse performers battle with cultural patriarchy as modern Asian women in an original piece by Nikita 雅涵 Tu-Bryant.
When her Ye-Ye falls ill back home, Grace (雅安) fights with the hard truths that flood to the surface. Told through paintings, shadow and puppetry, Grace must reconcile an ancient culture’s influence on a 21st-century life.
This is a non-verbal show suitable for non-English speakers or the Hard of Hearing.
Starring writer/director Nikita 雅涵 Tu-Bryant and performed alongside Chye-Ling Huang (Te Wake Huia, Call of the Sparrows) and choreographer Marianne Infante (Aroha Mai, RUMINATIONS).
With Guest dramaturg Yuyang Ellison Tan (SINGAPORE), and lighting by Nic Cave-Lynch of Many Hands Lighting with special thanks to Benjamin Teh.
