A Kaupapa Māori kōrero of healthism, fatness, bodies, and hauora.”Ashlea Gillon (Ngāti Awa, Ngāpuhi, Ngāiterangi) is a Kaupapa Māori researcher and lecturer at Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland. Her work explores fatness, hauora, body sovereignty and the ways racism, sexism and healthism shape experiences of health and institutions.Reading the piece is not necessary to attend!? When: Thursday 20th August, 6PM-7PM.? Where: UoA Women's Space (above the Quad food court)? What to bring: Yourself, a mug, and an open mind.?
