- **Event Description**: Nau mai, haere mai! Join us to put native plants in the ground along Sunnyside Stream. 

The plants will provide food and shelter for native birds and critters, and stabilise stream banks and mitigate erosion. We'll also add mulch around the plants to enrich the soil, help it retain moisture over the hotter season, and keep invasive weeds at bay.

Be a part of transforming this stream into a thriving awa that flows well in changeable weather, is more resilient in heavy rain and drought, and helps move water quickly to the sea.

We'll finish with a hearty soup at the end.

Gumboots or sturdy closed-toe shoes are essential. Please bring a rain jacket and gardening gloves if you have any. Kids are welcome but must be accompanied by supervising adults.
