- **Event Description**: For those riding scooters and mopeds the Scooter Survival course is a great way to gain confidence and skill riding in an urban environment. The course takes place in 50kmh or less areas, no open road riding is involved.
Our Scooter Survival course will teach you all you need to know about positioning to see and be seen, safe and effective braking, dealing with traffic and cornering. There is a maximum or 6 riders on the course and you will be under the guidance of a professional motorcycle instructor.
Prerequisites: Riding skills – you’ll need to be comfortable with basic control of your scooter/moped, including moving off, braking, stopping, turning. Have some experience riding on the road in traffic – if you are comfortable riding to the start venue you should be ok. You’ll need to provide your own safety gear, plus a scooter/moped and have the appropriate licence for it.
