- **Event Description**: The Waterview Community and Enviro Hub is proud to host Ruia te Kākano/Seeds for Small Spaces, the launch to the Hub’s upcycling container garden, as part of Albert-Eden International Day of Older Persons' week. 

During this 2-hour wānanga, participants are invited to come together to share their knowledge of gardening in small spaces, creating life and beauty out of upcycled materials, and begin to build ongoing relationships that will create a community of small-space gardeners that continue to share knowledge, ideas and
company long after the event is over. 

We will follow the wānanga with hands-on learning
in the container garden, exploring upcycled gardening supplies, exchanging plants and seeds, and discussing different ways to grow plants, both edible and ornamental, in small spaces. 

Tea and nibbles will be provided, and participants are invited to bring upcycled plant containers to demonstrate, seeds and plants to exchange, or just an interest in getting tips to get their own small-space growing started.

Leading this project is Lynn Lewis-Bevan of the Waterview School Bike Train, anthropologist and Ageing Well Co-Principal Investigator Dr Marama Leigh Muru-Lanning, and Emma McInnes of the Waterview Community and Enviro Hub.
