Book your spot today for an afternoon of creative writing led by award-winning Auckland author and experienced writing tutor, Anne Kayes.
Learn how to create and develop characters that will stay with your readers and how to write stories with a strong emotional pull. Snacks will be provided.
This workshop is suitable for teens aged 12-18 years. Tickets are free, but spaces are limited, so book today to secure your spot.
Meet the author:
Anne Kayes is an award-winning author of junior and young adult fiction including the popular Tūi Street series and her 2021 YA novel about the experiences of a 15-year old girl during the 1981 Springbok Tour, In Our Own Back Yard. Anne trained as an English and Drama teacher and has worked at both secondary and tertiary level. She holds a Masters in Creative Writing from AUT. She loves running writing workshops and doing animated, dramatic readings for students.
Transport, parking and accessibility:
There is a car park available at the front of the building and free street parking on Bracken Avenue. There is also on-street parking on side streets, and Manukau Road parking is available outside of bus lane times.
