Captain Wing was a legend in NZ Maritime history. Harbour Master of the Manukau and a key player in the sinking of the HMS Orpheus Feb 6th 1863 on the bar. The talk takes place in the house on Wing head, the treacherous bar shipwrecks galore and his amazing life told in sound and story by his descendants, a fascinating, rich local tale.
The entrance fee is $5.00 per person, and includes light afternoon tea. (under 5 free) Cash please, bank transfer available.
