But You'll Want to Come to This One.True North: The Alternative Board AI Workshop — Tuesday 29 September 2026BNZ Albany | 55 Corinthian Drive, AlbanyYou're already using AI. You've got tools running, you've seen what it can do — and now you're asking the harder questions. How do we scale this? Where's the real ROI? What does an AI-ready business actually look like? This is where we go deeper, and get practical. This workshop is different. The SpeakersRyan Ashton — Founder of Humation and founder of AFQY. Ryan has spent 25+ years in enterprise tech and digital transformation, and is genuinely one of the best-networked people in AI in the country, with a real gift for explaining what AI actually is (and isn't) — and how NZ businesses can adopt it responsibly, with real results.Andrew Fergus — from IT Live, a trusted local IT partner who brings a sharp, grounded perspective on what AI implementation actually looks like inside a real business. Andrew will run a live demo on how to build a skill or agent — no fluffing around.Nyssa Waters — Co-Founder & CEO of Possibl AI. Nyssa has scaled Possibl to $4M+ ARR in under two years, expanded into Singapore and Australia, and led AI adoption at Google Cloud before that. She's not talking theory — she's built the thing, and she'll be a real highlight of the day.Connor from Numa and Mike from The Alternative Board round out the speaker line-up, sharing real-life examples they've implemented recently.Between Ryan, Andrew, Nyssa, Connor and Mike, they've worked with hundreds of NZ businesses across every industry, and they've seen every mistake worth avoiding. In this session, they'll walk through where AI genuinely adds value in your business right now — and just as importantly, where it doesn't. They'll show you the handful of workflows that consistently save business owners 10–15 hours a week, and how to set them up in an afternoon rather than a quarter. And they'll bring it to life with live demos on real business data, backed by presentations that cut through the noise rather than add to it.You'll walk out with a clear picture of what's worth automating in your business, what's not, and exactly where to start. How It WorksThis isn't another hype session. It's real businesses, real use cases, showing exactly how they've used AI to save time and money — the stuff most companies could be doing right now if they knew how.Register, respond to our AI quiz, and we'll get our speakers to answer it live on the day. Simple. There are plenty of AI sessions out there — none of them are doing that.SessionsSession 1: 9:30am – 12:00pm | 40 seats (arrival 9:00am)Session 2: 12:30pm – 3:00pm | 40 seats (arrival 12:15pm)Places are limited, and by invitation.
