End of an era… I’m off to be a māmā (finally) to my baby girl Honey, so I’m closing this chapter of my life at OKV. As I won’t be having a big baby shower I invite you to come down to say ka kite ano on Thursday 18 December from midday. I’ll keep that day free onsite to hang out, kōrero, eat cake (I’ll bring a massive slab cake to share with anyone who visits) and well wishes both ways before we wrap up the kaupapa for the year.
I’ve been with Community Builders NZ Trust across different initiatives since 2018. Pātaka Kai since 1 week in. And OKV since the beginning. This kaupapa has refined the person I am today and I’m eternally grateful to my OKV volunteers who are now my very close friends, the staff, management, and founders. For having me back and forth, across different areas and specialties, for a total of 7 years. This is the longest I’ve stuck with anything so thank you for being my home for so long while I learned, practised, made mistakes, healed, and now, elevated to māmā mode. There’s always someone hapū at OKV… I’m so glad it’s my turn 💜
Many people have asked about gifts for baby so if you would like to koha, here is our registry link:

It’s just a guideline though. You’re welcome to give whatever you like from your heart 💜
Anyone is welcome. This may be the last time I see many of you for a long time and I’m going to miss you and the hood so much!
Note: the next day Friday is the official last day of operations at OKV until early February. And Saturday 20 December is our Christmas event so be sure to follow the event page here:
