About the event

Find Your Tribe
Find Your Tribe!
Join us for Red Tent East Coast Bays opening circle! The tradition of sitting in circle and speaking our truth keeps us accountable to our soul. This is the power of women's circles which form a foundation of authenticity and support us in life.
We are going to find out what you want for this branch of the Red Tent and what you don't.
We come together to share in something very special. Growth and support will happen at the Red Tent. The Red Tent is a place for women to feel connection and support. We want to help women free themselves from the isolation of today's modern world and find their tribe.
We are part of a revolution. We have begun to understand that we are all connected and words like "energy, source, spirit, chakra, life force..." are mainstream. Together we are stronger. Come with your ideas and suggestions. Enjoy a cup of stress-reducing, calming cacao and find your tribe!

About Red Tent Aotearoa

Red Tent Aotearoa was founded by Jill Natalia, who created inclusive, supportive spaces where women could gather, connect, and grow. Rooted in the global Red Tent movement and adapted to honour the land, cultures, and communities of New Zealand, Red Tent Aotearoa offers a space for women to feel heard, supported, and empowered.

Red Tent Aotearoa has grown into a nationwide network of facilitators and circles—each unique, all held with care, respect, and a commitment to women’s wellbeing. Circles are open to anyone who identifies as a woman, welcoming all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences.

Every gathering is grounded in the values of connection, community, and deep listening. It’s about reclaiming time for yourself, sharing your truth in a safe space, and remembering that you’re not alone on your journey.

The Red Tent is a place for women to feel connected and to offer and receive support. We want to help women to free themselves from the isolation of today’s modern world and find their tribe.
It’s our hope for everyone who enters each Red Tent to experience a sense of belonging, sisterhood, and strength that stays with them from then on.

What is the Red Tent and what do you do there?

The Red Tent movement is worldwide and stemmed from the book The Red Tent written by Anita Diamant. Red Tents are spaces created by women, for women to come each month and share their stories, relax, feel nurtured, seen, and heard. There is nothing required of you and the main goal is for you to relax, recharge and reset.

Each month at Red Tent is different, we invite different woman to share their stories, experiences and interests with us so that we all can learn and become more confident. Some circles will cover subjects such as Coping with Grief, The Power of Menstrual Cycle Awareness, The Power of the Spoken Word, Find Our Identity, The Power Positive Touch. At other circles we get creative and learn new crafts or skills.

There are many Red Tent Aotearoa trained facilitators across the country, each Red Tent is hosted by someone different.

I am Fiona Tate, founder of Red Tent East Coast Bays. When not facilitating our local Red Tent, I am a mother, business owner and a life coach. My business is called Sorted Out and offers bookkeeping and mentoring to mostly small businesses. Sorted Out is a Xero partner and I am payroll qualified.
I have sound relationships with clients and as a life coach I understand that life influences business and business affects life. I find myself mentoring business owners in all matters of finance and bookkeeping as well as coaching clients to navigate life’s daily challenges.

As a resident of the bays, I care about the well-being of our community and believe every woman deserves access to spaces where she can feel heard, accepted, and empowered. By bringing women together across all walks of life, we strengthen not only ourselves, but the relationships, families, and communities we’re part of.

Red Tent is about building one another up. It’s about connection, healing, and the simple but powerful act of showing up—together.
