Riparian buffers —the strips of trees, shrubs, and grasses along streams—are nature’s water filters. They help hold stream banks in place, prevent erosion, trap sediment, absorb excess nutrients, cool the water for fish, and provide habitat for wildlife. Protecting and restoring these green borders is one of the simplest, most effective ways to keep our rivers and streams clean and healthy.
Free plants will be given out after the workshop (while supplies last!)
