Katherine (Kat) Dizon grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and has lived most of her adult life in Washington State, with brief stays in Indiana, Michigan, and Connecticut. Her poems have appeared in journals such as ?????? ?????? ??????, ???????? ????????, ???? ??? ??????, ??????, and ??????.

Her first chapbook, "Somehow, here" was published by Finishing Line Press in 2025. She has a BA in Creative Writing and MAT in Elementary Education from University of Puget Sound, and MFA in Poetry from the Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University. Katherine loves mothering her three kids and cat, Dexter. She feels most at home anywhere near water.

She was a member of Striped Water Poets, which was a poetry critique group that met in Auburn.
