💙 Divine Mercy Sunday 💙
Divine Mercy Sunday is a profound gift to the Church, celebrated on the Second Sunday of Easter. It was instituted by St. John Paul II in response to the revelations given to St. Faustina Kowalska, through whom Jesus revealed the immeasurable depths of His mercy for every soul.
On this holy day, Christ invites us to approach Him with trust, repentance, and hope. Through Confession, the Eucharist, prayer, and adoration, hearts are healed, burdens are lifted, and souls are renewed. Divine Mercy Sunday reminds us that no sin is greater than God’s mercy and no soul is beyond His loving reach.
✨ A Special Grace for the Soul ✨
The Church teaches that on Divine Mercy Sunday, the faithful may receive a plenary indulgence, This is the full remission of the temporal punishment due to sin when the usual conditions are met:
1. Sacramental Confession
2. Reception of Holy Communion
3. Prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father
4. A heart detached from all sin
5. Participation in prayers or devotions honoring Divine Mercy
This extraordinary grace brings deep spiritual freedom, healing, and peace, helping the soul grow closer to Christ and live more fully in His mercy.
We warmly invite you to join us at Immaculate Conception Church for a beautiful afternoon of prayer and devotion:
