Two-Day Pottery Workshop: Horse Hair Raku

This workshop will occur on two days:

- Monday, September 15th from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, and

- Monday, September 22nd from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

In this two day workshop, students will create clay pieces the first class (9/15) and RAKU fire 🔥 on 2nd class (9/22).

In the first day of this workshop, participants will create hand built and/or wheel thrown vases (2 or 3). Then, the pieces will be coated with slip (terra stig) and burnished. At the end of day one, Tim will take the pieces with him to be bisque fired and bring them back to the store. The second and final day, participants will Raku fire the pieces to take home at the end of this second day.

This workshop is for beginners to advanced hand building and/or wheel throwing experience.

The cost of this workshop is $95, which includes class time and materials.

Instructor : Tim Bullard

Bio : Tim Bullard has been an artist/potter in North Florida for over 35 years. He works in clay through Raku, underglazed illustrated porcelain & Tortured Surface. Pottery by Tim Bullard can be found at Atlantic Beach Arts Market.

Class tickets are only refundable if the refund is requested before the date of the purchased class. Tickets purchased through Eventbrite will only be refunded for the class ticket cost, minus the online processing fees due to changes in Eventbrite policies. After the class date, a credit will be issued, redeemable in store for another class.
