It will be co-taught by Patrick Schmitz and Alex Grindeland. Patrick Schmitz Patrick is the creator and producer of the guerilla sketch comedy festival, Sketch 22. He has also worked as co-producer for the Milwaukee Comedy Festival. Patrick has written 14 plays, including five Shakespeare parodies and the three-year sold-out run of Rudolf the Pissed-Off Reindeer. His plays have been picked up by numerous theater companies and local high schools. As a teacher, Patrick runs the theater program at Brown Deer High School. He has also worked as the improvisation coach at First Stage Children’s Theater, and both performed and taught for ComedySportz Milwaukee. Patrick’s comedy background also includes classes through Second City and IO in Chicago, and stand-up comedy performances throughout the state of Wisconsin. He also performs regularly with ComedySportz Milwaukee. He loves spending time with wife Courtney, his friends, his family and of course his two dogs: Rufus & Rufus. Alex Grindeland Alex owns, manages, and performs regularly with two comedy companies... on opposite sides of the country. CSz Seattle and First Coast Comedy. He also formerly served as President of the CSz Worldwide Executive Council. CSz Worldwide is the organization that licenses theatre companies to perform ComedySportz internationally. Alex has been an improviser, actor, comedian, teacher, and an almost daily shower taker for over 20 years. During that stretch, Alex earned his B.A. in Theatre Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He continues to perform comedy weekly, while enjoying teaching students of all ages and experience levels.
