The Drum Major Project Community Workshop

In collaboration with the The King Center's MLK50Forward, The Drum Major Project: March for Humanity is a city-wide civic arts engagement that culminates in the March for Humanity, retracing the steps of Dr. King’s funeral procession on April 9th, 2018, stepping off from Ebenezer Baptist Church at 11:30am and proceeding to Morehouse’s BT Harvey Stadium.

In preparation for the procession, a series of collaborative art making workshops are being held. The workshops are forums for diverse communities across Atlanta to come together to express their individual and collective commitment to manifesting Dr. King’s principles of love, peace, kindness, and justice through art.

During this workshop facilitators will lead discussions with participants while making commemorative unity wreaths (which will line the procession route on April 9th).

We are taking walk-ups for this workshop but if you have a group and would like to reserve a spot, you can email cmFjaGVsIHwgZmlyZWhvdXNlY3JlYXRpdmVwcm9kdWN0aW9ucyAhIGNvbQ==.
