Spring Break 2019 Graduate Writing Boot Camp for Theses, Conceptual Papers, and Dissertations

(Breakfast will be served on Monday/Wednesday; lunch will be served on Tuesday/Thursday)


Monday, March 11, 9 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Fundamentals of Graduate Writing and Research (Thesis Statement, Research Question, and Documentation)- Mr. Justin de la Cruz, E-Learning Technology Unit Head



Tuesday, March 12, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Theoretical Framework vs. Conceptual Framework)


Wednesday, March 13, 9 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Data Collection and Analysis)- Ms. Jordan Moore, Woodruff Research Librarian


Thursday, March 14, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Writing the Conclusion and Abstract)




This boot camp will assist graduate students in writing more efficiently by employing five critical components:

1) An organized writing routine and approach

2) Collegial motivation and support

3) Expert writing consultants

4) Minimal distractions in a quiet space


5)  Specific assistance in abstract writing, literature review writing, and other areas

There will be access to Macs, PCs, technologies, Wi-Fi, printing, seminar deliverables, and a resource library.

Personal laptops are also welcome.
