About the event

Speaker Series: Cherokee Ethnobotany and Land Use
Join us for an exploration of Cherokee ethnobotany and land use with Alfie Vick, professor at UGA’s College of Environment + Design. This talk will highlight the cultural ecosystem of the historic southeastern landscape, created through generations of traditional land use and management. In addition to gaining a deeper understanding of the potential for mutually beneficial interactions with our native flora, you’ll gain inspiration and guidance for planting and managing our urban landscapes today.
