# Event Details

- **Event Name**: Book Launch
- **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 09 Oct, 2026 at 07:30 pm
- **Event Description**: I have been too busy to post of late on the lead up to the launch this coming Friday. Upcoming interviews on Shannonside Radio (2pm tomorrow) and Midwest Radio (9.15am Friday 9th). I am looking for retail outlets for my book throughout Mayo, so that I can name them when I’m on the radio shows.
The book is selling well locally. Mulvey's gift house of Carrick-on-Shannon are the latest to stocking the book, and I am finalising three more outlets at the moment, one each in Roscommon, Ballina and Castlebar. I will spend tomorrow touring Mayo to meet more retailers. I’ll post an updated list tomorrow evening on my Facebook page.
From now on, my wife Geraldine is taking care of all the arrangements for the launch. My own efforts fell short of what was expected when my WhatsApp broadcast invitation last evening said 8.30pm instead of the correct 7.30pm. I suppose it was an opportunity for thirsty insiders – it’s an ill wind that blows no good….
At least I’ll be well togged out on the night. I called to Eddie Donnellan on Main Street, Roscommon and we did some business. I tried to pass myself off as an influencer and get a discount but he was unimpressed! I guess I need a few more followers.
