Six to Eight

Offering one of the lushest textures of any instrumental combination, the string sextet has long been a favorite ensemble of listeners and performers. Contrasting works by Johannes Brahms and Jörg Widmann accompany Felix Mendelssohn’s triumphant and uplifting String Octet, and violinists Benjamin Beilman and Erin Keefe return to Music@Menlo alongside an all-star cast of string players.
