Stonesthrow at Atherstone Folk Club

Stonesthrow combines the strong lead vocals of Tony Fowkes with the natural harmonies of Steve & Julie Wigley. The Derby based trio perform mainly acapella, with their set spiced by the occasional song featuring Julie on accordion and Steve’s guitar.

Their choice of songs ranges from the traditional working songs of the sea and the land to contemporary songs of family, love and loss, providing a rich variety of material for their three part harmonies.

They have been winners and runners-up in the ‘Write a Song for Lincolnshire‘ competition and have performed at the Chester Folk Festival Fringe, Moira Furnace Folk Festival and a number of folk clubs around the country.
