- **Event Description**: All 2026 AACA Summer Arts Camps take place at The Arts Center, 320 North White Street, Athens, TN. For grade ranges, students must have completed the grade in the 2025-26 school year. 

Youth Theatre Camp 2026 is a two-week theatre intensive providing unparalleled classes in acting, stage movement, and music for ages 11 - 17. 

This camp offers collegiate-level instruction by camp directors Kelly Borwick, Bob Borwick, and Pam Thigpen, in a fun and encouraging setting and is not limited to experienced actors—all youth are welcome—and will benefit from this deep dive into the process of theatre. 

The camp day is 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, July 6 - 17. 

Camp ends with an evening performance of the original musical, “Wnderful” by Kelly & Bob Borwick and Pam Thigpen, based on a children’s book by “The Wonderful O” by James Thurber, on Friday July 17. 

Camp tuition is $300 and all materials and a t-shirt are included. Registration deadline for Youth Theatre Camp is Monday June 22, 2026. 

Full and partial need-based scholarships are available through the Marian Biddle Trew Scholarship Fund. The deadline for scholarship applications for Youth Theatre Camp is June 15, 2026.

The Arts Center staff is available for questions and registration via phone or in person during office hours, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and encourages early registration as camps fill up quickly and spots are limited. 

The scholarship application is available upon request from The Arts Center. Visit in-person, call 423-745-8781, or email artsed@athensartscouncil.org for scholarship applications.
