Ανάμεσα στα Χριστούγεννα και την Πρωτοχρονιά, το Σάββατο 27 Δεκεμβρίου, η Maroulita de Kol και η Assimina Kouris σας προσκαλούν σε ένα τελετουργικό ταξίδι μουσικής, ένωσης και αγάπης στην μαγική σκηνή της Αγγλικανικής Εκκλησίας του Αγίου Παύλου στο Σύνταγμα.
Σε ένα μυσταγωγικό site specific μουσικό δρώμενο που αξιοποιεί την ιδιαίτερη ακουστική και ατμόσφαιρα της εκκλησίας, το φωνητικό δίδυμο θα περιπλανηθεί σε διάφορες κουλτούρες του κόσμου και θα φέρει στο κέντρο της Αθήνας τραγούδια από όλο τον κόσμο εμπνευσμένα από τη φύση και τα τέσσερα στοιχεία, καθώς και από το κεντρικό θέμα της Γένεσης, του Φωτός και του Belonging (το ανήκειν). Θα ακουστούν επίσης κομμάτια από τους προσωπικούς τους δίσκους, ενώ ανάμεσά τους θα πλέκονται κάλαντα από διάφορες περιοχές της Ελλάδας καθώς και classic English Carols στα οποία το κοινό θα προσκληθεί να συμμετάσχει καλλιεργώντας το πνεύμα των Χριστουγέννων - πνεύμα εξύψωσης, χαράς και ενότητας.
Με το «Genesis - A Celebration of Light, Birth and Belonging» δημιουργούν μία μουσική εμπειρία που συνδέει το παραδοσιακό με το σύγχρονο, το πνευματικό με το καλλιτεχνικό, το σαμανικό με το φουτουριστικό, καλλιεργώντας μια ατμόσφαιρα ζεστασιάς και κοινοτικής συμμετοχής.

Η Maroulita de Kol και η Assimina Kouris ενώνουν τις δυνάμεις τους στο πρώτο τους project Genesis. Με ρίζες στην ελληνική παράδοση και έμπνευση από τη σοφία των προγόνων, οι δύο καλλιτέχνιδες αντλούν από τη μουσική, τη μυθολογία και τις θεραπευτικές τέχνες για να δημιουργήσουν εμπειρίες βαθιάς σύνδεσης και αναγέννησης. Η Maroulita de Kol, πιανίστρια, τραγουδίστρια και συνθέτρια μετά την επιστροφή της από το Βερολίνο, φέρνει τη σύγχρονη της ματιά και ήχο στα αρχέγονα ηχοτοπία. Η Assimina Kouris, τραγουδίστρια, τραγουδοποιός και θεραπεύτρια ήχου, μοιράζεται τη μακρόχρονη αφοσίωσή της στη μεταμορφωτική δύναμη της φωνής και του πνεύματος. Μαζί, συνθέτουν έναν ιερό χώρο όπου το αρχαίο συναντά το νέο, το προσωπικό γίνεται συλλογικό, και η μουσική λειτουργεί ως πύλη προς τη μνήμη, τη γη και την καρδιά.

Between Christmas and New Year's Eve, on Saturday, 27th of December, Maroulita de Kol and Assimina Kouris are inviting you to a ritualistic journey of music, unity, and love in the magical setting of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Syntagma, the centre of Athens.
In a mystical site-specific musical event that embraces the cathedral’s unique acoustics and atmosphere, the vocal duet will wander through various cultures of the world and present in the heart of cultural Athens, songs from all around the world inspired by nature and the four elements, as well as of the central theme of their performance, Genesis, Light, and Belonging. They will also perform songs from their personal albums, carols from various regions of Greece and classic English carols, which the audience will be invited to join in (if they feel so) , cultivating the spirit of Christmas - a spirit of exaltation, joy, and unity.
With "Genesis - A Celebration of Light, Birth and Belonging”, they have created a musical experience that connects the traditional with the contemporary, the spiritual with the artistic, the shamanic with the futuristic, welcoming you to an atmosphere of warmth and community participation.

Maroulita de Kol and Assimina Kouris join forces in their first project, Genesis. With roots in the Greek tradition and inspiration from the wisdom of their ancestors, the two artists draw on music, mythology, and the healing arts to create experiences of deep connection and rebirth. Maroulita de Kol, pianist, singer, and composer, brings her contemporary perspective and sound to primordial soundscapes after returning from Berlin. Assimina Kouris, singer, songwriter, and sound healer, shares her longstanding devotion to the transformative power of voice and spirit. Together, they create a sacred space where the ancient meets the new, the personal becomes collective, and music acts as a gateway to memory, earth, and heart.
