First Sunday in Lent

The Season of Lent is a time of preparation marked by fasting and prayerful repentance. It began in the early days of the Church as a time of preparation for those seeking to be baptized at the Easter Vigil. The spiritual discipline of fasting is connected to our Lord’s time of fasting in the wilderness.

We enter this season full of hope, that by hearing and answering our Savior’s call to repent, we may enter fully into the joyful celebration of his resurrection together on Easter Sunday.

Bishop Todd Hunter will be joining us for this special Sunday as our guest preacher! We will be having a Wednesday Night study beginning on 2/24 based on Bishop Todd's book - Our Favorite Sins. We are excited to utilize our newly renovated Fellowship Hall for this Lenten Study and that Bishop Todd can be with us on the first Sunday in Lent to help kick it off for us!
