10o In Progress Feedback Festival 2019

Tο In Progress Feedback Festival (IPFF),

Levantes Dance Theatre (Eleni Edipidi) – AUDITION

Medea Electronique x Eliza Soroga (Manolis Manousakis) – +/- (Positive / Negative)

Les Fous Sages (Angeliki Dalangeli, Konstantinos Karvouniaris, Pauline Huguet) – Lift Pull Flop

Chloe Aliyanni – «Space Cadet»

The Guest Project (Mina Ananiadou) – «Άτιτλο»

Rhiannon Fata Morgan – «AdH(A)rA»

The In Progress Feedback Festival (IPFF), a festival that has become a tradition and institution at Kinitiras, is celebrating its 10 years of existence this year and it will take place between the 29/03/2019 and 01/04/2019 in Athens.
We are celebrating the anniversary edition of the first festival in Greece which focuses on the creative process and the relationship between the creator and her/his audience instead of being a product oriented process.

In 2016 the In progress Feedback Festival was included amongst the best festivals in Europe by the EFFE International Jury (Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe, www.effe.eu).

The main aim of the In Progress Feedback Festival is research, experimentation and the ways through which the in progress projects are affected. The uniqueness of the IPFF is located in its two very crucial functions:
the development of the work and the feedback on it. Functions which demand awareness, risk and continuous development of the craft.

For the anniversary of the 10 years of the IPFF, apart from the contesting groups-which are selected upon application-we will invite artists who took part in the IPFF in the past to present part of their creative process, conduct a residency, offer workshops and mentoring to the contesting artists as well as be part of the jury.
Established artists and upcoming artistic groups from the performing arts will share outlines of their work and will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other creators (mentoring). Trying out various approaches without the pressure of a production’s final outcome while being in touch with the spectators directly through interactive discussions, questionnaires and other imaginative ways of idea-exchanging processes, the participants will receive the feedback which will lead them to a complete performance in the near future.

This year’s thematic umbrella for all of Kinitiras’ activities is THE JOURNEY. The notion of a journey both literally and metaphorically. The journey in life, in space, in time, in the body, in the mind, in dreams, in literature, in the streets, in civilizations. All proposed projects will need to be related to this particular topic and their approach should express the journey they wish to explore.

The piece – the team which will win the jury’s award will receive an amount as a financial support for their upcoming production, while the group which will win the audience’s award will receive a month’s residency for the completion of its research.

The existence of a festival such as the In Progress Feedback Festival (IPFF) gives the opportunity to the society, its creators and the people who support it to coexist, to influence each other and develop with freedom and respect to each other’s differences. It is also an important breeding ground for expression, mutual support and inspiration through research and in the performing arts.
