2026 Community Showcase Opening Ceremony

The Atchison Art Association is excited to bring back our Community Showcase at the Cultural Center for the Arts, featuring artists of all ages and experience levels across ten different categories. Awards will be presented for first, second, and third place in each category, along with Best on the Board and a Community Choice award. Join us for the opening reception on February 28th from 5–8 PM, where three artists will create a finished piece live, each working within a one-and-a-half-hour demonstration that highlights process, technique, and decision-making as it happens. The FORCEFIELDS will present a live performance combining visual art and music. The evening is designed to encourage learning, conversation, and community connection.
