# Event Details - **Event Name**: Peaceful Plants Open House +4th Anniversary Party - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 14 Mar, 2026 at 12:00 pm – Sun, 15 Mar, 2026 at 05:00 pm - **Event Description**: Celebrate Peaceful Plants' fourth anniversary & Women's History Month March 14 & 15 at our retail location at The Pottery Atascadero, 5800 El Camino Real. We'll have a variety of classes, including our free Plant 101 class, throughout both days. It's free to attend our party, the only additional charges are for certain classes, painting your own pot, purchasing plants and repotting. Saturday, March 14 Noon-4 p.m.: Plant exchange, seconds of plants, pots and pottery, paint your own pot (cost of supplies), drawing, repotting (cost dependent on pot size) 5 p.m.: Door prize drawing 4-7 p.m.: By Her Hands Art Walkabout (an evening of visiting businesses and seeing local artists). Heather Young will show her pottery inside The Pottery. Sunday, March 15 Noon-5 p.m.: Plant exchange, seconds of plants, pots and pottery, paint your own pot (cost of supplies) Noon: Mini terramium class $20 per person 1 p.m.: Mini kokedama class $20 per person 3 p.m.: Plant 101 (essentials) FREE 4 p.m.: Repotting class ($20 for two plants, $8 for each additional plant) 5 p.m.: Door prize drawing DETAILS Plant exchange: Bring a plant, take a plant. Please bring a rooted plant in a nursery pot. The plant should be in fairly good condition (not dying or dead). Look for the Plant Exchange table in the garden. Seconds sale: We will have plants, upcycled pots and Pottery by Heather Young that aren't what we want them to be at for our regular product, but you might find something you want or need at a lower cost. Look for the Seconds Sale table in the garden. Paint Your Own pot: We will have terra cotta pots that fit two-inch and four-inch plants in nursery pot. You select which size (and how many) you want to paint — they are priced by size to cover cost of materials. Each pot comes with a tray so you can use the pot inside or out. There will be plants available for sale to put in the pots you paint. Look for the Paint Your Own Pot table in the garden. Repotting: Bring any plant that you're struggling with or that needs to be repotted and we'll repot in the garden. Label each pot with your name and phone number. You can leave your plants with us to repot while you enjoy the party and activities. Repotting is priced by pot based on the size of nursery pot it goes into. The fee covers the new soil, upsized nursery pot (if needed), and health check of your plant (including for pests). Repotting is good for plants that have been in the same soil for a long time, are suddenly having leaves yellow or brown, aren't putting out new leaves but have in the past, have roots busting out of the pot or are outgrowing its pot. Door Prize Drawing: Each attendee will get a ticket the drawing on arrival and will have an opportunity to get additional tickets throughout the day. You do not have to be present to win. We'll do drawings both Saturday and Sunday and then a "grand prize" from tickets from both days on Sunday. No purchase necessary. Look for our greets inside The Pottery and the garden. By Her Hands Walkabout: To celebrate Women's History Month and the vast number of female business owners in downtown Atascadero, downtown businesses are hosting a Walkabout with participating businesses open late and featuring a local artist. Pottery by Heather Young and Through Eyes of class are the featured artists for The Pottery and Peaceful Plants. Find art and the artist inside the pottery. This is a free event and open to all ages. Sunday classes: We will offer a variety of classes on Sunday, March 15, but space is limited. Please secure your spot (including in our free Plant 101 class) today!
