Our aim is to bring together people from all backgrounds who enjoy reading and good conversation, in a relaxed and social setting. Whether you’re an avid reader or getting back into books, you’ll be very welcome.The books we choose will generally be:Under 400 pagesAvailable in paperback and available at local librariesWe read across fictional genres, with non‑fiction included too.How to find us:We will be in No3a Neighbourhood Bar & Eatery from around 6.45pm onwards. There will be copy of the book on the table and time to grab a drink before the discussion starts.How the group runs:Please aim to read the set book beforehand. That said, if you’re part‑way through and don’t mind spoilers, you’re still very welcome to join us. It’s helpful to have a quick think about what you enjoyed (or didn’t enjoy) about the book and why.We’ll start with brief introductions and a quick round on first impressions of the book. The organiser will kick things off with a question or topic, and from there the discussion is open and relaxed, following wherever the conversation naturally goes. All perspectives are welcome, and respectful discussion is always encouraged, but there is no pressure to talk if you would rather just listen.If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to message us.
