First Sunday Classes: Cozy Spaces

Start the new year with a creative day at DOMAS Studio! Our First Sunday Classes are designed to spark imagination and build artistic confidence through age-appropriate, hands-on projects — all themed around the magic of winter.
Ages 3–6 | Cozy Spaces
12:00–12:45 PM
Create your own cozy scene filled with warmth and imagination! In this class, young artists will paint and collage blankets, and design a sensory mug of cocoa while learning about warm and cool color contrasts. A fun and sensory-friendly art experience designed to spark creativity and connection between little artists and their helpers.All supplies provided
Grades K–5 | Cozy Spaces (2D Art)
1:00–2:00 PM
In this class, students will create inviting winter scenes filled with warmth, from glowing fireplaces to patterned blankets and steaming mugs of cocoa. While designing their Cozy Spaces, artists will focus on 2D elements of art such as line, shape, color, and texture, learning how warm and cool tones work together to create contrast and mood. A creative and comforting project perfect for the winter season! All supplies provided
Grades K–5 | Air Dry Clay Hot Chocolate Mug (3D Art)
2:30–3:30 PM
Bring your cozy scene to life in three dimensions! In this hands-on class, students will learn to roll clay coils and assemble their own air-dry clay mug, inspired by the warmth and comfort of a winter day. This project focuses on 3D art elements including form, texture, and structure! As students shape, build, and design a piece they can proudly display once dry. A fun introduction to clay techniques and sculptural thinking, perfect for the winter season!

Bonus for K–5 Students Enrolled in Both Classes:
Students registered for both the 2D and 3D classes will enjoy a snack, game, and coloring time from 2:00–2:30 PM as we transition between sessions.
Please register for both classes to take advantage of this full 2.5-hour creative block!
