Ink & Intuition is a guided one-hour workshop designed to help participants reconnect with their inner voice through the art of blackout poetry.

Using existing text from recycled books, attendees will intuitively uncover hidden words and transform them into powerful, personal poems by blacking out the rest. No writing experience is required! Just curiosity and a willingness to trust what rises to the surface. This session blends mindfulness, creativity, and emotional reflection in a grounded, welcoming space.

During this one-hour experience, participants will:

Begin with a short grounding exercise to quiet mental noise, learn the fundamentals of blackout poetry technique,

Practice intuitive word selection and creative flow, create a completed blackout poem to take home and reflect (option to share) on what surfaced through the process.

Blackout poetry invites clarity through subtraction. As participants remove what doesn’t resonate, what remains often reveals unexpected truth, emotion, or insight.
