Aaliya's Poltical Book Club - 'Manufacturing Consent'

Join us for this month's Political Book Club where we will be reading the seminal text on journalism, politics and propaganda, Edward S. Herman and Noam Chomsky’s ‘Manufacturing Consent.’

In the 1988 book, Herman and Chomsky explore how the news is made, particularly how special interests and politicians choose what we hear about and what we don’t.

Despite the massive scope and complex subject, the two authors find a way to present their theories in an accessible and easy-to-read way.

Written 30 years ago there is a reason this book is still a must read for all those interested in propaganda.

We will be joined by a special guest to discuss the book and what it means in 2019.
