This is not a race!!
There’s no clocks, no bib numbers, no roads blocked off. This is a 1 mile fun run modeled after an event that began in Boston in 2000. The main goal is for participants to have fun and spread holiday cheer! While Speedos and Santa hats are welcome, as is any spirited costume that really rings in the season, they are not required. (Just know we may make fun of you if you show up in your favorite workout attire—unless it’s decorated with sparkles and bells, then that’s cool

The run is 1 mile, and you are welcome to walk or run at your own pace. Just remember to stay on sidewalks and stop for cars/bicycles at intersections. We do not close off the streets for our event - so safety first!

2pm-Pre-party at Jerk Riley’s
-Grab a drink, enjoy some classic Christmas music and get tons of pictures of everyone dressed in their Christmas outfits!! Get some stretches in, because it’s gonna be chilly out there!
4pm-Santa Speedo fun run starts! Sprint, jog, walk or feel free to ride a stick reindeer! We don’t care how you get through it, but you’ve got 1 mile of running past local downtown Ashland business, past the beautiful Broadway Christmas Tree, and right back to Jerk Riley’s for the afterparty
4:15-4:30-The AFTERPARTY!!
Ok you had a great pre-party, your heart is pumping after the funnest run of the year, now it’s time to just enjoy! The Christmas music gets a little louder and we spin some mashups and great music! Costume contest! Fun games and prizes are in order! Don’t forget the Christmas cocktails!

Do I have to be 21 years or older to attend the event?
Yes - only individuals aged 21 or older may attend the event.
Who can take part in the run?
Aside from being at least 21 years old, anyone can participate!
Do I have to wear a speedo?
Don't let the name hinder or intimidate you - just be comfortable, and be you! Runners can wear bathing suits of all kinds, long johns, onesies, and beyond.
Is there a fee?
No this fun run is free of charge.
Is there an age requirement?
You must be 21 to participate.
