It has been our tradition every year at our Samhain event to host the Saint David of The Lame memorial tournament. For those who didn't know him, he was an integral part of our community who embodied the welcoming spirit that we pride ourselves on.

This year the weather was against us and we were not able to hold the tournament at the event. We still wish to honor his memory and so we will be holding a tournament at our practice on Thursday December 11th in the basement of the Southern Oregon University, Stevenson Union, 1118 Siskiyou Blvd, Ashland, OR 97520.

Because this will be held at a practice, and in the spirit of Saint David's commitment to welcoming new people, this will not require people to be authorized combatants yet (it'll be a practice tournament).

We will have two prizes, one for most wins and one for most honorable fighter. We encourage anyone who wishes to come and join us in honoring our departed hero. For those who do not wish to fight we will also be teaching people how to do water bearing, lists, and marshalling.

We will open armor inspections at 6:30 and the tournament will start at 7pm sharp.

As is traditional, the format will focus around two stick. We will do a double round robin format where each person will fight in the two stick style against all of the other fighters. Depending on the amount of fighters we may need to change format. While holding the field each fighter will use the Baron's sword, which is Feradach's personal sword that was built for him by Saint David.
